Housing in Newark compared to Boston

We're a young couple and Median household income is $48,416, which feels on the lower side for the area. The unemployment rate is 6.7%, which is concerning. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Worth the trade-offs?

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Korean places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
