Commute times in Newark -how bad?

Alright, Rent is about $926/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $174,100 on average. The median home value here is around $174,100, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 11.8%, which is around average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I've lived in The Heights for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
