Considering Newark vs Baltimore -help me decide
Hey folks, Military spouse here. The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $926/month for a decent place. Median household income is $58,920, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $174,100 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
