Best coffee shops in Newberg?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 7.8%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $91,389, which feels pretty solid for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. Worth the trade-offs? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community vibe is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Minneapolis about 5 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is improving.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in finance. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The housing market is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
