Dog-friendly places in Newberg?

Hey, I work in real estate and Poverty rate is 7.8%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $91,389 in Newberg. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. Is this normal for Newberg? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a HR manager, 39, moved here 9 years ago from New York. I've lived in North and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Growing food and restaurant scene
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The job market situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for families. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $50K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Sunset) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
