Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from Kansas City and Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 17.7%, which is higher than I expected. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
