Hi all, I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 25.0%, which is higher than I expected. Crime rate is something to consider -Newburgh sits at 1,129.3 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
