Healthcare options in Newcastle?

I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $255,100 on average. With a population of 12,238, Newcastle is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 12,238 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 14 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into running, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
