Thinking about relocating to Newcastle from Tampa

I'm a 29-year-old nurse and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $1,128,200, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thanks for reading.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in West area are average. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
