Moving to Newington -what should I know?

Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 20s, and With a population of 30,551, Newington is a smaller city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 2 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
