As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much established but now it's tough.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Came here for work and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The healthcare is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
