Anyone else feel this way? Household incomes average around $75,344 in Newman. With a population of 12,299, Newman is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for Newman? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much established but now it's tough.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Came here for work and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The healthcare is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
