Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $327,800 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Houston about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
