What to expect moving to Newport?

Hello, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $32,693 in Newport. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Old Town for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- The public transit scene is solid

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
