Starting a business in Newport East?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,784 for rent here. Household incomes average around $86,310 in Newport East. The median home value here is around $479,200, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $86,310, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Used to live on the South side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 14 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
