Best areas to explore in Newport?

First post here. We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 14,039 people. You can expect to pay around $994 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 6 years. Moved from Atlanta for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Limited entertainment options. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.
