Best neighborhoods to rent in Newport News?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider — Newport News sits at 595.5 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Charlotte it's pretty good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Baltimore it's excellent.
