Why I chose Newport over bigger cities

First post here. I'm retired and Homes are going for about $669,500 on average. Household incomes average around $83,562 in Newport. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
