What I wish I knew before living in Niceville

Random thought, Median household income is $96,611, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Niceville sits at 69.0 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 16,043 people. Rent is about $1,579/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Easy commute
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.
