Hello, We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $996 for rent here. Rent is about $996/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much competitive but now it's underrated.
