What I wish I knew before living in Niles

Random thought, I work in manufacturing and Median household income is $47,815, which feels on the lower side for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Asian places. I love the pace of life here.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much stable but now it's surprisingly good.

Moved here from Tampa about 4 years ago. it's been a really good experience overall. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but No regrets on my end..
