Is Norco getting better or worse?

I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Norco sits at 235.7 per 100K. The median home value here is around $230,600, which is actually reasonable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely better than expected and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a sales manager and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Raleigh it's excellent.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the South side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
