Weekend activities in Norcross?

Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $1,654 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 17,669 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Should I be concerned? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Fairview area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
