What surprised you most about Norfolk?

Longtime lurker here, Rent is about $850/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $62,175 in Norfolk. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
