Homes are going for about $239,300 on average. Median household income is $65,060, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 63°F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 129K, Norman is a mid-size city. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any advice would be great. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 11 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
