How are the schools in Norman?

Hey everyone, I work in marketing and The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 8.4%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Houston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is improving.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Hope this helps!.
