Norman is underrated, change my mind

We're a young couple and The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $65,060, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,064 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great BBQ places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
