Rent prices in Norman getting crazy

Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Norman? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $1064 for a 2BR/2BA which feels okay for the area.

Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

Check out the Highland Park area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 8/10.

As someone who moved here from Atlanta, I can confirm most of this. The friendliness of people surprised me the most.

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

If you can afford it, Oakwood is the best place to live. Period.
