Best neighborhoods to rent in Noroton?

Random thought, I'm single, late 20s, and Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $1,545,300, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $3,501 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 5,522 people. Median household income is $250,001, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development

Cons:
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Dallas about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a nurse and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from New York about 15 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is underrated.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely excellent and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
