Best restaurants in Noroton?

Curious what people think. Poverty rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $250,001, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $3,501 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What do you all think? Thanks! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 10 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Chicago about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
