Is it worth buying in Norristown?

Hey folks, Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $65,058 in Norristown. You can expect to pay around $1,337 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I've lived in The Heights for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- The cultural scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.
