What I wish I knew before living in Norristown

Hey everyone, You can expect to pay around $1,337 for rent here. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 15.2%, which is higher than I expected. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

I work in tech here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
