Affordable areas near North Amityville?

Household incomes average around $125,991 in North Amityville. Median household income is $125,991, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? Cheers. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The walkability is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in East area are underrated. Kids love it here.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely average and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Downtown) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from LA about 9 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much developing but now it's surprisingly good.

I've lived in Sunset for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..
