Life in North Attleborough Town as a young professional

First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -North Attleborough Town sits at 242.7 per 100K. Rent is about $1,402/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Meadowbrook area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from New York about 8 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Greenfield for 5 years. Moved from Austin for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is tough - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Far from beaches/mountains. And school system can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
