Raising a family in North Aurora -thoughts?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Median household income is $111,781, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. With a population of 18,375, North Aurora is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Appreciate any input. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
