The good and bad of living in North Aurora

Curious what people think. Rent is about $1,596/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $323,900 on average. With a population of 18,375, North Aurora is a small town. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Austin it's better than expected.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
