Job hunting in North Babylon -tips?

Hi all, Household incomes average around $130,293 in North Babylon. Homes are going for about $470,900 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thoughts? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in government. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 14 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 10 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
