Remote worker thinking about North Bellmore

Alright, I'm originally from Indianapolis and Rent is about $2,573/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $636,800, which is pretty steep. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Denver about 10 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..
