I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Is this normal for North Bellmore? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 4 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2019 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to LA it's solid.
