Hey, You can expect to pay around $2,930 for rent here. Homes are going for about $392,100 on average. It's a a small town city with about 10,999 people. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Phoenix about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The pet-friendliness is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Atlanta it's excellent.
