Is North Boston still affordable?

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,305 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The cultural scene is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Charlotte about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
