Rent is about $1,364/month for a decent place. Median household income is $62,789, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Used to live on the Old Town side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I've lived in Westside for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The cultural scene scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Midtown area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
