Hello, The food scene here is surprisingly good. Has anyone dealt with this? Cheers.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Charlotte about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for work and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
