Weekend activities in North Druid Hills?

Longtime lurker here, Crime rate is something to consider -North Druid Hills sits at 345.5 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 18,172 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much stable but now it's average.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Raleigh it's surprisingly good.
