Starting a business in North Fond du Lac?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I work in consulting and Household incomes average around $61,744 in North Fond du Lac. Median household income is $61,744, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $144,900 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in North. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
