Is North Gates a good place to live?

So, I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $75,257 in North Gates. Median household income is $75,257, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $153,500, which is actually reasonable. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Sprawl everywhere
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Not enough green space
Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
