Anyone work in healthcare in North Las Vegas?

Hey everyone, I'm a remote worker and It's a a mid-size city city with about 271K people. Crime rate is something to consider — North Las Vegas sits at 863.7 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any advice would be great. Cheers. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in West for 15 years. Moved from Raleigh for cost of living. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is average - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Rising rent and home prices. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The pet-friendliness is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
