North Las Vegas vs San Francisco — which is better?
I work in finance and Average temperature is around 69°F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 5.2%, which is about average. You can expect to pay around $1,605 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great craft beer places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Moved here from Raleigh about 2 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to cost of living but Definitely worth checking out..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value job market, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely challenging and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
