Planning a move to North Las Vegas — neighborhoods?

I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,605/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $76,772 in North Las Vegas. It's a a mid-size city city with about 271K people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Close to major attractions
- The weather scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
