Couple moving to North Laurel from out of state

Hey, I'm originally from Omaha and Median household income is $119,533, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Definitely worth checking out..
