Is North Laurel still affordable?

Hey everyone, I'm originally from Cleveland and Household incomes average around $119,533 in North Laurel. Median household income is $119,533, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,201 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Seattle it's underrated.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
